Community History School Tours
What was school like 100 years ago? Our interpreters share stories and ways of life from our area’s First Nations People and early pioneer communities. Experience history with your class! Tours can include live interpretation of exhibits, object-based learning activities with Museum artifacts, and history presentations such as “Getting Ready for School 100 Years Ago.”
Grade K to 3
Enjoy a tour with your students exploring the historical exhibits and artifacts which helped build present-day Sherwood Park and Strathcona County communities.
Grades 4 to 6
Working with you, we design object-based learning programs with unusual
artifacts to augment your Social Studies core concepts and/or Science skill expectations.
We look forward to working with your class!
Grades 1 to 4
Students receive the Museum’s Historical Activity Booklet highlighting our community growth. This program booklet is designed to complement the Alberta Social Studies curriculum. We have filled this booklet with fun activities to enhance the students’ learning experience. Students may need assistance accessing the website activities and reading the answer key at the back of the booklet.
What better way to discover our heritage than at the local museum?
